How I look after your details
I keep this simple: I only collect what I need to reply to you, and I don’t sell or share it. Last updated 3 November 2026.
Who I am
I’m Jack Burlison, a video producer and creative marketer based in Newcastle upon Tyne. I run this website (jackcreates.co.uk) and I’m responsible for any personal information collected through it.
You can contact me at jackcreatesthings@gmail.com.
What I collect, and why
If you use the contact form, I collect:
- your name and email address
- the type of project you need
- your message, and a budget range if you choose to give one
I use this only to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to discuss the project. My legal basis is legitimate interests: it’s reasonable for me to use your details to answer a message you sent me.
If you email me directly, I’ll use your email address and anything you tell me in the same way.
Where it goes
Your message is emailed to my inbox. A copy is also saved in the website’s database, so I don’t lose an enquiry if an email goes astray. The site is hosted by Fasthosts in the UK, and my email is provided by Google (Gmail).
I don’t sell your details, and I don’t share them with anyone except the services above that help me run the site and receive your message.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiries for up to 12 months, then delete them. If we work together, I keep project records for as long as I need to for the job and for my accounts.
Videos and fonts from other companies
My videos are hosted on YouTube. They only load when you press play, and I use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Once you play a video, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect information about you. You can read Google’s privacy policy.
The site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser contacts Google to fetch them, and Google receives your IP address.
Cookies
I don’t use advertising or analytics cookies on this site. If you enter the password for a private page, WordPress sets a cookie so you don’t have to type it again. That’s the only cookie I set for visitors.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email me at jackcreatesthings@gmail.com and I’ll sort it out.
If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If I change this policy, I’ll update the date at the top of the page.
